San Diego can be a great destination for a vacation, especially for a family with small children. If you are able to do it, the one suggestion would be to go in the off season. We went in the second week of September and it was still very nice weather and during the week there were no crowds at the attractions. Unforntunately, our little one starts school next year so that is probably the last time we can do that for a long vacation!
